Neutrons were discovered by James Chadwick in 1932.Neutrons are located in the nucleus with the protons. Along with protons, they make up almost all of the mass of the atom.Neutrons dont have any energy charge.The number of neutrons in an atom is not necessary the same number on protons of an atom.Neutrons are made of two DOWN  quarks and one UP quark.
